Hyundai tools loader for product handling

A “Tool Master” version of the standard wheel loader model, the HL740TM-9A features parallel lift, along with a fork attachment, to enable safe and easy a) loading and unloading of large and odd-shaped product such as pipe or, b) palletized brick or concrete masonry transport. The model is part of the 9A series wheel loaders, all featuring what company engineers note are power and productivity improvements from previous models, including certified Interim Tier 4 engine upgrade, and enhanced operator comfort.Hyundai-400

The HL740TM-9A wheel loader is built with a fuel efficient, low noise 156-hp Cummins Tier 4 Interim QSB6.7 engine sporting advanced electronic controls and a self-diagnostic system. The combination of a high pressure common rail system and an advanced in-cylinder combustion technology results in increased power, improved transient response and reduced fuel consumption.

The loader has a fully automatic transmission designed for minimum power loss, improved travel speed and low noise. A modified clutch control and minimized shifting shock when travelling contribute to a smoother ride. The HL740TM-9A design allows operator customizing of engine power, automatic transmission, shift time and clutch cut-off activation based on job condition and personal preference. Power, standard and economy engine modes extend flexibility as do manual, light, normal and heavy transmission power shift modes. Rotary-type switches allow for easy adjustment of engine power, transmission power shift and clutch cut-off modes.

Compared to prior models, the HL740TM-9A has a larger, redesigned cab affording comfortable, spacious work environment, plus rounded front windshield, 17 percent larger which, combined with larger door glass, offer operators a wider field view. Convenience features include increased cooling and heating capacity with fully automatic climate control system; tilting and telescopic steering column; adjustable wrist rest for reduced operating stress; multiple storage compartments; AM/FM radio with MP3 interface; and, USB input and hands-free Bluetooth. A ladder with 20 degree incline and large, deep tread, aluminum cast steps is also provided for safe cab entry and exit.

The new loader is equipped with a host of amenities, among them a multimedia 5.7-in. touch screen LCD color monitor with adjustable swivel, which allows the user to efficiently control the machine. Boom kick-out and bucket position can be adjusted through overhead switches while viewing the settings through the screen. An integrated load-weighing system, also viewable through the monitor, contributes to improved work efficiency, while a self-diagnostic system with an active display of engine, hydraulic system, transmission and electrical component information, contribute to machine versatility and operator productivity. The LCD monitor also functions as a rearview backup camera, providing improved safety on any jobsite.

The HL740TM-9A’s access to key servicing components ease routine maintenance. A tilting transmission and hydraulic oil coolers swing open for easy access and the rear door can be open to over 70 degrees. Conveniently located transmission oil site gauges expedite fluid level checks. The loader also provides users with critical ground level access to common service points, filters, sight gauges plus extended life hydraulic filter and oil for reduced operating costs.

The Hi-mate Remote Management System allows operators and dealer service personnel to access vital service and diagnostic information from anywhere with Internet access. Hi-mate users can remotely monitor daily reports outlining a machine’s location, working hours, fuel consumption and any periodical maintenance needed. — Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas, Norcross, Ga., 877/509-2254; www.hceamericas.com
