A redesign of the SkyTrak telehandler line starts with the all-new 6034 and 6042 models. With reworked functionality, reimagined technology and refocused serviceability, the 6,000-lb. maximum lift capacity machines suit pick-and-place applications such as handling, loading and unloading bulk materials on residential, commercial, urban and suburban job sites.
The 6034 telehandler replaces the 6036 model and has 14,500-lb. operating weight, while the 19,500-lb. 6042 telehandler has been updated with new features inspired by the way users work. The 6034 model offers a 34-ft. lift height and 23-ft. forward reach. The 6042 model provides a 42-ft. lift height and 29-ft. forward reach. Both the 6034 and 6042 offer two- or four-wheel plus four-wheel crab steering modes depending on operators’ maneuverability requirements. Additionally, the telehandlers have a 95-in. width and smaller tires than predecessor models, while still maintaining their competitive 15-in. ground clearance.
Additional features for both models include enclosed cab design with optional air conditioning; 74-hp, 2.9L Deutz diesel engine, operating without the need for diesel exhaust fluid; inching functionality, which allows operators to run the boom at high speeds without shifting the transmission into neutral; and, single electric joystick affording greater multifunction capability versus a hydraulic alternative. — JLG Industries Inc., McConnellsburg, Pa., www.jlg.com
