Engineers, contractors, educators, material or manufacturing representatives, plus other allied interests will assemble online from October 17-21, 2021 for the ACI Concrete Convention—the world’s gathering place for advancing construction. Originally scheduled as a hybrid event with virtual presentations accompanying in-person meetings in Atlanta, the program will now be fully online.

“Just a few short months ago, we were excited at the opportunity to see each other again,” says ACI President Cary Kopczynski, PE. “Rest assured, we are channeling that collective excitement into making the ACI Concrete Convention the most productive and best virtual event it can be.” Along with the opening address, he will host the President’s Reception, a virtual networking event for all convention registrants.

Technical and educational sessions will provide attendees with the latest research, case studies, best practices, and the opportunity to earn Professional Development Hours. Over 55 technical sessions will be presented live with on-demand viewing available afterward. Themed sessions include ACI 301‐20 Specifications for Concrete; Sustainability Considerations for Concrete Pavements; Ultra-High-Performance Concrete; What I Wish I Knew: Work-Life Balance; and, Research Development and Applications of FRP Reinforcements. The ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards virtual celebration will honor exceptional projects from around the world. The convention will also feature hundreds of committee meetings plus a virtual exhibit hall.

Cement and concrete producers supporting the ACI Concrete Convention include Argos USA, Holcim (US), Metromont Corp. and Thomas Concrete, joined by Baker Concrete Construction, Concrete Sealants, Brasfield & Gorrie, Euclid Chemical, GCP Applied Technologies, Martin Concrete Construction, Master Builders Solutions and Precision Concrete Construction. The ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards is supported by Advancing Organizational Excellence and NEx: An ACI Center of Excellence for Nonmetallic Building Materials.

Convention registration starts at $99, with free access for students. On-demand session or presentation recordings will remain available to all registered attendees. Registration and additional agenda details can be obtained at www.aciconvention.org.
