GivenHansco platform raises logistics management, customer service

GivenHansco’s new truck-focused, tablet-based GPS suite, Keystone Online On-Delivery, offers what programmers note is a new realm of streamlined customer service control and logistics management possibilities for ready mixed producers. Designed in-house as an extension of the advanced Keystone Online family of products, the integrated platform features a dispatch dashboard affording real-time view of current day orders and details, including amounts ordered and delivered by plants.

The route Navigation function shows drivers bridges, weight limits and, when needed, will re-route them.

Compatible with most Android devices, On-Delivery also features GPS truck tracking, which provides statusing and text messaging to ensure instant communication between the driver and dispatch. Keystone Online On-Delivery-equipped drivers can view ticket information with vital data such as complete product load—all before the truck is loaded. GivenHansco cites a multitude of à la carte, On-Delivery add-on functions affording an immediate overview of essential information that can be leveraged from virtually anywhere, among them:

  • Navigation. Provides live truck-route friendly turn-by-turn directions to the job site and back, thereby preventing drivers from getting lost. Detailed truck route data shows bridges and weight limits, and re-routes drivers if necessary.
  • Push-to-Talk. A button on the driver’s tablet device delivers radio-like communication with dispatch, other drivers, and customized groups. It also allows dispatch to talk to all drivers and records it.
  • E-ticket. An electronic ticket that can be signed on-site and emailed to customers immediately. Users view the ticket on the dispatch screen and the file is relayed to the customer after it is signed. From navigation to delivery, once the E-ticket is signed, all On-Delivery function options are available, enabling key parties (i.e.-driver, customer, dispatch, accounting) to interact instantly with optimal control and efficiency—maximizing production delivery cycles, along with profitability.

“Keystone Online On-Delivery is a streamlined platform that puts comprehensive data right at the fingertips of today’s concrete professionals,” says Given-Hansco Vice President Ron Wallace. “It gives drivers directions to the job site and back with truck routes, shows bridges, weight limits, and reroutes them if necessary. All this saves time and money while ensuring optimal safety.”

In addition to the main platform, GivenHansco has programmed a Keystone On-Delivery starter version, presenting GPS Lite as ideal for smaller companies to leverage as an initial pilot foundation. It runs on a small modem-based device mounted in the truck with a simple power cable, and is used solely for mixer tracking and order statusing. It includes an on-line dashboard that allows users to view current day orders and details including volumes ordered and delivered to plant(s).
