The New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation honored Garden State hardscape market mainstay EP Henry at its annual fundraising gala, “A Night at the Museum–A Salute to Patriotism.” In May 2014, the Foundation unveiled the Huey Helicopter Plaza during the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Remembrance Day ceremony; the facility was constructed with pavers and wall units EP Henry supplied through its HeroScaping program.
“We’re beyond grateful for the generous time, labor and materials donated by EP Henry,” says New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation Executive Director Bill Linderman. “The Huey Helicopter served two tours in Vietnam and we’re proud to see it restored in all its glory. This project would not have been possible without them.”
The Memorial was funded by Operation Huey Restoration. EP Henry was among the largest supporters, donating approximately 1,000 sq. ft. of pavers and 1,300 sq. ft. of wall units. “Through our HeroScaping initiative, it’s our mission to honor those who have served. We’re proud to have put our name behind this project,” says EP Henry CEO J.C. Henry.
Formalized in 2012, the producer’s HeroScaping program has directed more than $325,000 in materials, labor and monetary contributions to military-related projects and organizations. A significant part of HeroScaping since its inception is the donation of products to repair and improve the outdoor living spaces of military families and community locations, including veterans’ monuments, memorials, municipal buildings and school park areas.
