Through a partnership formalized at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2017, concrete mixer and construction materials information technology market leaders McNeilus and Command Alkon seek to further integrate truck controls and fleet management software for North American ready mixed producers. Their initiative extends a FLEX Controls and TrackIt telematics platform integration the companies announced late last year at the Command Alkon User Conference.

Command Alkon has acquired Rosemont, Ill.-based FiveCubits, a [software as a service] SaaS-based fleet management and mobile computing solutions provider for ready mixed and bulk materials producers, trucking and hauling companies, and contractors.
Fleet management is one of the competencies positioning Raleigh, N.C., ready mixed, aggregate and asphalt producer Sunrock Group among the Carolinas’ stronger independent operators. A 2001 change to Allison 4600s in its rear discharge mixer truck specs made the group’s concrete brand, Carolina Sunrock, an early adopter of fleetwide automatic transmissions.
