Hardscape North America, October 20-22 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, is on track for installers, contractors, landscape design professionals and exhibitors. The Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute underscores the prospects for this year’s Hardscape House, an open-air pavilion steps from indoor exhibits and the 20-acre Outdoor Demonstration Area.
The 42,000-sq.-ft. pavilion will feature exhibitor displays for hands-on product testing, Hardscape Now demonstrations, and the HNA 2021 National Installer Championship with nearly $20,000 in cash prizes and equipment awards. “Hardscape House offers valuable opportunities our industry members won’t find anywhere else,” affirms ICPI Executive Director Charles McGrath. “From the ability to get hands-on with equipment before you buy to the expert demonstrations and the exciting Installer Championship, the outdoor area at HNA provides the perfect mix of business, learning and fun.”
One of HNA’s most attractive features for exhibitors and visitors alike is the opportunity to demo products, he adds. With the Hardscape House being just outside the indoor exhibits, attendees can see the new products indoors, then test and compare them with the competition before making buying decisions. Hardscape Now Demonstrations will see consultant Frank Bourque and his team highlight best practices and construction techniques to help attendees build business:
- Session 1 – Tools & Equipment for Profits
- Session 2 – Hardscape Installs in Tight Quarters & Challenging Sites
- Session 3 – Installation Efficiency on Pavers & Slab Installations
- Session 4 – Installation Efficiency on Raised Patios & Retaining Wall Installations
- Session 5 – Hardscape Features: Lights and Sound
- Session 6 – Hardscape Features: Fire and Water
The demos will be held Thursday and Friday, October 21-22. Attendees can upgrade their trade show registration to include all six Hardscape Now demonstrations for $65 or purchase a VIP Pass. Each session is eligible for one ICPI Certified Installer Continuing Education hour.
Beyond indoor or outdoor exhibits and six demonstration sessions, top craftsmen will compete in the annual Hardscape North America Installer Championship, testing and recognizing the skill, dedication, safety and passion of contestants from Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. Teams will compete over the course of two days. The 2021 champion will receive a cash prize of $12,000 and a total prize package valued at over $18,000. All attendees are invited to watch the competition, which will take place throughout the second and final days.
