A milestone, technology-laden Bridgemaster model McNeilus displayed at the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association’s ConcreteWorks conference outside Washington, D.C. is bound for Washington State—to the CalPortland Co. Glacier Northwest fleet.
Taking stock of the company’s 100,000th mixer truck, McNeilus Vice President and General Manager Jesus Crespo notes, “This is a tribute to the legacy our people have built over more than five decades. From design and engineering to manufacturing and sales, this organization has worked hard to create trucks that lead the industry and deliver solid added value for our customers.”
“We’ve been a McNeilus customer for decades and it’s an honor to be a part of this production milestone,” adds CalPortland Vice President of Asset Services Steve Mitchell. “It’s always a big event when we get a new truck with the latest equipment and technology.”
Finished at the manufacturer’s Minnesota flagship facility just ahead of the late-September ConcreteWorks gathering, the Bridgemaster is equipped with the FLEX Controls package; Automatic Washout System; Hydraulic Chute Assist; Preco Electronic collision-avoidance radar sensors; three-camera Street Smart Vision; M80 Series Drum, augmenting mixing efficiency by moving the center of gravity down; and, GradeMaster, which automatically adjusts drum speed when vehicle is on an incline.
