Private equity-backed Construction Supply Group has acquired Williams Equipment & Supply and Richform Construction Supply, further growing a portfolio of regional distributors or dealers supplying accessories, materials and tools for concrete and masonry contractors.

“We’re looking forward to drawing on the unique strengths of these two organizations to help us on our path to becoming the number one construction supply distributor in North America,” says Construction Supply Group CEO Mitch Williams. “This is a great opportunity to extend our geographic footprint and expand our capabilities and service offering, including rental equipment.”

Memphis-based Williams Equipment & Supply operates 12 branches across Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi, and will maintain its brand while Gordon McIntyre continues as president. A single-branch operator serving British Columbia, Vancouver-based Richform will be integrated into Brock White Canada, part of a Minnesota business with which investor Sterling Group launched Construction Supply Group in late 2016. The Williams and Richform properties position the latter with 87 branches offering 60,000 stockkeeping units to upwards of 50,000 contractors in the U.S. and Canada.
