Prior to field duty, three mixer trucks with drums bearing outsized Build With Strength logos were dispatched to the Las Vegas Convention Center, informing 2017 ConExpo-Con/Agg attendees of the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association campaign to advance cast-in-place methods for low- to mid-rise buildings.
Build With Strength trucks for Maryland’s Chaney Enterprises, North Carolina’s Concrete Supply Co. and Mississippi’s Jackson Ready Mix anchored the Continental Mixers and Beck Industrial booths during the March 7-11 show. The producers are among first to use their fleets in a campaign positioning concrete as the best building material on a performance, safety and value scale.
A themed mixer for Charlotte-based Concrete Supply, a joint venture of the namesake business and Cemex USA, coincides with the latter producer’s Build With Strength alignment. “Ready mix is one of the cornerstones of Cemex USA,” says President Ignacio Madridejos. “We are proud to partner with NRMCA to help drive home the fact ready mix concrete is the top choice when it comes to building structures that last … [By pointing to] the benefits of using ready mix concrete, we can help strengthen the communities in which we live and work.”
NRMCA encourages producer and associate members to spread the Build With Strength message via equipment, websites and other company media. Details on campaign participation, plus mixer drum graphics and smaller logo files, can be obtained from NRMCA Senior Director, Communications & Public Affairs, Building Promotion Brett Ruffing, 240/485-1138, [email protected].
