Madison, Miss.-based MMC Materials Inc. has rolled out the Southeast’s first compressed natural gas-powered concrete mixer fleet, ramping up for delivery of 12 McNeilus Ngen (Next Generation Initiatives) models with the installation of a TruStar Energy Portable Fuel Station (PFS).

The PCI Foundation voted to accept proposals for two new educational projects during its June 28 Summer Meeting in Sioux Falls, S.D. Starting in fall 2013, the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and South Dakota State University (SDSU) will be added to a growing list of universities that have undertaken new precast/prestressed concrete programs. This brings the total number of schools currently working with the foundation for the 2013/2014 school year to seven.

Organizers of the Hardscape North America show, October 24-25, Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, are registering teams for the first HNA Installer Championship, intended to test and recognize the skill, dedication and passion of hardscape contractors from Canada, the United States and Mexico.
