Governor John Hickenlooper is maintaining a spring tradition of recent years, observing “The concrete industry is vital to Colorado’s infrastructure and economy. On April 28 we recognize concrete as a sustainable, green building material and superior choice for construction. We look forward to recognizing the thousands of employees who make a difference in our state during the annual Concrete Day at the Capitol BBQ.”
The 11 a.m. – 1p.m. event will be held on the Capitol grounds in downtown Denver. Hosts American Concrete Pavement Association–Colorado/Wyoming Chapter, American Concrete Pipe Association, and Colorado Ready Mixed Concrete Association aim to recognize the Colorado Legislature and their staffs, and spotlight the concrete industry’s role in economic growth and sustainable development practices across the state.
