The Association of Equipment Manufacturers has scheduled education meetings to help exhibitors prepare for a successful experience and improved results during ConExpo-Con/Agg and IFPE 2017, March 7-11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The sessions are set for March 2 in Las Vegas (Convention Center) and August 23 in Chicago (Loews Chicago O’Hare).
At next month’s event, exhibitors receive an exclusive 25 percent discount to the ExhibitorLive conference, February 28–March 3 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. ConExpo-Con/Agg manager AEM partnered with Exhibitor Media Group to offer the value-added opportunity to exhibitors of all association shows. AEM is combining a half-day show-specific meeting on March 2, followed by a networking reception, with access to ExhibitorLive, which focuses on exhibiting and marketing strategies and tactics to improve performance and enhance trade show return on investment. Now in its 28th year, the event typically attracts more than 6,000 attendees. This year’s staging will feature more than 180 education sessions and workshops, networking events, plus an exhibit hall with more than 300 show-related suppliers and strategic partners.
The ConExpo-Con/Agg and IFPE 2017 education meetings are free of charge for all exhibitors but registration is required. Registration for the March meeting is open at www.aem.org or www.exhibitorlive.com/CONX25. A robust webinar series, live and on demand, will also be offered in the run-up to the shows on exhibiting best practices as well as show-specific education modules. A variety of exhibitor engagement marketing tools will help companies promote their show presence.
“AEM is a longtime proponent of exhibitor engagement outreach and education to maximize return on investment, and these complimentary exhibitor meetings and webinars are an integral part of that commitment,” says ConExpo-Con/Agg 2017 Chair Rich Goldsbury (Doosan).
“We know trade shows are a significant investment, and these educational offerings will assist companies in gaining the most value from their exhibit dollars,” adds IFPE Chair Bob Mortensen (Husco International).
ConExpo-Con/Agg and IFPE exhibitor meeting attendees will learn about new show features and planning tips to simplify their participation and better connect with customers. They can also meet with show management and official vendors on specific questions and planning needs. The Chicago meeting in August will focus on information of particular use to first-time and smaller exhibitors. Additional exhibitor education session details can be obtained from AEM’s Mary Bukovic, 414/298-4173; [email protected].
LAYOUT EASES 2017 SHOW NAVIGATION
ConExpo-Con/Agg 2017 will feature a streamlined layout to help attendees more easily comparison shop for equipment, products and services, notes show manager, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. The reconfigured layout is designed to create better synergy between outdoor and indoor space product areas, and make it easier for attendees to navigate an event staged every three years and billed as a international gathering for the construction-related industries—one showcasing the latest equipment and product innovations and attracting exhibitors and attendees from all industry segments around the world.
As part of the new layout, the Gold Lot includes an expanded Gold Hall and now extends to Las Vegas Boulevard, using the site of the soon-to-be demolished Riviera Hotel, and a new Bronze lot (with Bronze Hall) has been added south of South Hall, extending the length of the building. Both lots will feature registration areas—satellites to the main registration area at the Westgate Convention Center (formerly Las Vegas Hilton) adjacent to the LVCC North Hall. Show management cites increased demand for exhibit space as a major factor in a floor redesign aimed at optimizing available space.
“ConExpo-Con/Agg is guided by volunteer industry leaders and we want to most effectively connect the exhibitors and attendees and deliver a quality show experience; these improvements will help us achieve that goal,” says Goldsbury.
“Demand has been stronger than ever, especially for indoor space, and we worked with the Las Vegas Convention Center to explore all options; we are confident this show footprint will enhance ROI for all stakeholders,” adds ConExpo-Con/Agg Show Director Sara Truesdale Mooney. — www.conexpoconagg.com
