Mack, McNeilus team continue generous tradition for CIM Auction

CIMTruck 400Mack Trucks Inc. and McNeilus Cos. are approaching 2016 World of Concrete in customary manner by dispatching a Granite Axle Forward-mounted 11-yd. Bridgemaster mixer truck to the Las Vegas Convention Center. Their donation will anchor the pool of equipment, material and sports/travel packages available in live or silent bidding at the 11th Annual CIM Auction, February 3 in a meeting room above the World of Concrete exhibit floor.

The Mack Truck chassis and McNeilus mixer donation will help ensure a successful event, notes CIM Auction Committee Chairman Mike Philipps (Cemex USA), adding: “The consistent support from these two leading manufacturers speaks volumes to their commitment to the concrete industry and importance they place on the CIM program.”

The 2016 Granite Axle Forward model features a Mack MP7-365M engine and ClearTech HHS SCR emission control with fully catalyzed diesel particulate filter; Allison 4500 RDS Gen 5, 6-speed automatic transmission; Mack UniMax FXL20 20K lb. front axle and S462, 46,000 lb. rear axle; and, Hendrickson HMX 460, 46,000 lb. rear suspension.

The 2016 McNeilus Bridgemaster includes 11-cu.-yd. M80 paver drum with 46-in. opening; 3/16-in. and ¼-in. AR steel shell and fins; aluminum fenders; remote roller lube; upper ladder gate and wash hose; slump meter; night pour lights; and, 150-gal. aluminum cross mount water tank. McNeilus is also equipping the mixer with its Command Center EP touch drum controls.

Proceeds from the Mack/McNeilus truck and other auction item bids will benefit Concrete Industry Management degree programs at Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro; California State University, Chico; New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark; and, Texas State University.

The 11th annual CIM Auction will be held in Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall Room N262; silent bidding runs 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and the live auction begins at 1 p.m. Online bidding will be available on the Ritchie Bros. website, www.rbauction.com, to those registering at least a week in advance.
