A survey of 600-plus architects representing a cross-section of job titles, experience, firm sizes and geographic locations finds durability, environmental product declarations and independent product certifications the most important attributes for green building specifications.

For general building products, durability was followed by warranties and features, along with manufacturer’s representative responsiveness. The survey is the latest in series from coatings, paint and glass giant PPG; results were announced at the 2014 Greenbuild Conference and Expo in New Orleans.
