Knife River Corp. parent MDU Resources Group has appointed Nathan Ring vice president, controller and chief accounting officer, succeeding Nicole Kivisto, who has accepted another executive position at the Bismarck, N.D., corporation.
A certified public accountant with a University of North Dakota bachelor’s degree, Ring joined MDU Resources in 2001 as a tax analyst. He has held a number of accounting and finance positions with increasing responsibility that provided experience across a number of the corporation’s businesses at both the operating and corporate levels. He transitioned to his new post after serving as MDU Construction Services Group controller.
