During its Spring convention in San Antonio, the American Concrete Institute named these 2009 officers: Florian Barth, a northern California-based structural engineer, president, one-year term; and Kenneth Hover, Cornell University (Ithaca, N.Y.) professor of civil engineering, vice president, two-year term. Joining the Institute board for three-year terms are Dennis Ahal, chairman of Ahal Contracting, St. Louis; Emmanuel Attiogbe, director of Technical Services, BASF Construction Chemicals, Cleveland; Ron Klemencic, president of Magnusson Klemencic Associates, Seattle; and, Joseph Sanders, senior vice president of Operations, Charles Pankow Builders, Pasadena, Calif.
