National Precast Concrete Association has named Bob Shattuck manager of Development, responsible for supporting a growing pool of Precast Show exhibitors, as well as creating new booths, advertising and sponsorships.
Claude Goguen joins NPCA as director of Technical Services, where he will serve as staff liaison to several committees; provide members technical support; participate on several regulatory bodies; and, oversee technical documentation. Goguen’s previous experience includes, most recently, a term as project manager for Scott Hilliard Kosene, an Indianapolis-based construction management firm, and a stint at Horn Precast as operations manager and engineer.
The PCA Education Foundation awarded seven graduate students educational fellowships at its fall meeting in Chicago. Rewarding outstanding masters and doctoral candidates in engineering and the physical sciences who are pursuing specialties that stand to advance cement and concrete technology, the fellowships offers each student $20,000. Since its 2001 inception, the Foundation has helped finance education programs Û from university research fellowships to career recruitment and craft training Û in nearly every facet of the cement and concrete industries.
