The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association has launched an online resource center at www.ConcretePromotion.org to help industry promoters create a broader awareness of concrete’s benefits. Offering shared knowledge, enhanced communication, and access to the best tools, NRMCA officials emphasize, the site was earmarked as a component of the Concrete Industry Parking Lot Strategic Plan; its value was soon recognized as a resource that should be available to support promotion for the full range of ready mixed applications.
While the site primarily will assist promoters, NRMCA staff notes that it may also prove valuable to sales, marketing and other industry personnel. Visitors can view and download promotion photos, videos and presentations; consult a directory of industry promoters; search databases of pervious concrete projects and success stories; and, access tools and materials to support the Parking Lot Strategic Plan and other key concrete applications. A bulletin board forum will be added in coming months.
NRMCA developed the resource center with support from site partners, including the American Concrete Pavement Association, American Society of Concrete Contractors, Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute, Insulated Concrete Forms Association, Portland Cement Association, Post-Tensioning Institute and Tilt-Up Concrete Association. In order to increase the site’s usefulness, NRMCA welcomes submissions from all concrete promotion interests. Electronic materials, as well as questions or suggestions, can be sent to NRMCA’s Glenn Ochsenreiter, [email protected].
