PARADYME TECHNOLOGIES

A lightweight, web-based fleet tracking and management system, DigiFleet features animated pans, zooms, 3-D perspective and fly-over routing, with support in more than 56 countries worldwide. Using real-time GPS and low-cost cellular or global satellite networks, the system assists in routing the closest vehicle to a job, monitors excessive speed or idling, and controls vehicle start and stop. Fleet operators can mix and match tracking devices to suit their needs. The system also supports advanced user-defined geofencing, in which a circle can be drawn directly on the map and the coordinates are sent over the air to the user.

TEREX, ALLISON PEN AGREEMENT

The Terex Roadbuilding Group recently entered into an agreement making Allison Transmission’s automatic models the exclusive transmission in all Terex brand concrete mixer trucks. Part of Allison’s EDGE program, the agreement offers fleet owners improved warranty coverage, lower routine maintenance costs and higher horsepower and torque ratings in transmissions, which Terex notes are ideally matched to the 19 basic models of front- and rear-discharge vehicles in its mixer line.

Jim LoPresti, general manager of Terex Roadbuilding’s plant in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, said, With more and more fleet operators moving to automatic transmissions, we saw an opportunity to partner with Allison and offer our customers great value.
