Schaumburg, Ill.-based Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute has named Robert Risser, Jr. president, responsible for the daily operations and directing Institute growth. He joins CRSI after 11 years at the helm of the Michigan Concrete Paving Association. Before MCPA, Risser was engineering editor for the Aberdeen Group, Addison, Ill., and, prior to that, director of market development for the American Concrete Pavement Association, Skokie, Ill., with responsibilities for airports and industrial roads and training. Risser is a registered professional engineer in Illinois and Michigan. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Illinois.
