MDU has acquired Amador Transit Mix, Inc. and related companies based in Sutter Creek, Calif., about 45 miles southeast of Sacramento. The business will be brought into the Pacific Region of Knife River Corp., the construction materials and contracting subsidiary of MDU, joining operations in California, Hawaii and Alaska. “Adding Amador to Knife River’s operations in California strengthens our presence in that construction market and complements the existing companies’ products and services,” says Knife River CEO Bill Schneider.
