Industry hosts lawmakers as Governor declares Concrete Day in Colorado

“The State of Colorado recognizes the concrete industry as important to further development in our state and appreciates the hard work, dedication, and the efficiency of its employees,” proclaimed Governor John Hickenlooper April 24 as he designated that the date “forever after shall be known as Concrete Day in the state of Colorado.”

A new Kentucky Ready Mixed Concrete Association tagline, used thus far on more than 5,000 bumper stickers and tee shirts, focuses on longevity. “CONCRETE LASTS A LIFETIME” anchors a promotional/educational effort for branding concrete as a resilient and durable product. The association and producer members have distributed shirts among University of Kentucky, University of Louisville and Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro, students, while securing sticker spots on cars and trucks, and in offices and bars.
