Taylor began his career in 1984 as a loader operator, proceeding to management positions that included tours of duty with City Concrete Co. in Jackson, Tenn., and Foley Concrete Products in north Georgia. In 2004, he joined Irving Materials as Nashville-based operations manager, responsible for 32 ready mixed plants. He will be based in Mt. Juliet, Tenn.

World of Concrete 2016 exceeded expectations across the board, logging the largest attendee and exhibitor counts in seven years, Informa Exhibitions confirms. This year’s staging, February 2-5 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, drew just over 60,000 registered professionals, up from 55,800 last year; featured more than 1,532 manufacturers, suppliers and service providers, up nearly 300 year-over-over; spanned 744,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor space, a gain of 67,000 sq. ft. compared to 2015. Seminar registrations were 6 percent higher this year over last.
