Eagle Roofing Products marks a milestone in concrete tile production and innovation this year. Headquartered in Rialto, Calif., the company has been family owned and operated since its 1989 founding by Robert Burlingame. Over the course of 30 years and counting, the producer has grown from a small business with one high-pressure extrusion machine and five employees to the largest domestically owned concrete roof tile operator, with four plants and a payroll of 700.

The School of Concrete and Construction Management at Middle Tennessee State University, which hosts the Concrete Industry Management program, has received the largest company donation to their building campaign from Greenfield, Ind.-based Irving Materials, Inc. With this contribution, the school has reached 50 percent of its $5 million goal.

Fletcher Taylor recently joined Dallas-based Vince Hagan Co. as Southeastern Regional sales manager, bringing 30-plus years of experience in ready mixed concrete. Taylor began his career in 1984 as a loader operator, proceeding to management positions that included tours of duty with City Concrete Co. in Jackson, Tenn., and Foley Concrete Products in north Georgia. In 2004, he joined Irving Materials as Nashville-based operations manager, responsible for 32 ready mixed plants. He will be based in Mt. Juliet, Tenn.
