Concrete plant equipment manufacturers, mixer truck body builders and fellow exhibitors enjoyed solid booth traffic, quote inquiries and order activity at the 2017 ConExpo-Con/Agg, some telling Concrete Products the March 7-11 event was the best such show to date. Confidence in the business climate and prospects for stepped up infrastructure investment, fueled by President Donald Trump, permeated the Las Vegas Convention Center gathering, which encompassed the flagship show and co-located IFPE 2017.
Jim McReynolds has joined the Commercial segment of McNeilus Cos. Inc. as vice president of Sales, Marketing and Customer Support Services, based in Dodge Center, Minn. As McNeilus increases growth and penetration across all segments, he is charged with providing consistency and applying a customer-first approach to all sales, marketing and related support efforts. He will be responsible for driving customer engagement, product management, and marketing communications in the field and at centralized levels.

An entrepreneur who built a full service concrete plant equipment business around the most complete line of mixers to bear the Made in America label, William O. Boles died March 25 near his Milwaukee-area home.
ConExpo-Con/Agg will open next month with the industry and attendees enjoying signals of market strengths and business prospects absent in the prior two shows, 2008 and 2011. Concrete plant and fleet equipment manufacturers are set to arrive in Las Vegas with renewed optimism for market improvement.
