NRMCA is accepting through December 31 producer member nominations for the 2020 Ready Mixed Concrete Delivery Professional Driver of the Year. The award acknowledges a mixer truck driver’s significant contribution to the growth and success of individual companies and the industry, and salutes career achievement, safety, professionalism, competence and customer service. The 2020 Driver of the Year Award recipient will be honored during the NRMCA annual convention, March 7-9 in Las Vegas. Nomination forms are posted here.

NRMCA has named David Buoncristiani of Central Concrete Supply Co., San Jose, Calif., the 2019 Ready Mixed Concrete Delivery Professional Driver of the Year. Based at the producer’s South San Francisco plant, he is recognized for career achievements, outstanding safety record, professionalism, driving competency and customer service skills.

International Truck has completed a transition from its WorkStar line with the HV Series Mid-Range Diesel trucks, including a bridge formula model—the set forward axle HV507 with rear-engine power take-off—suited for concrete delivery. Unveiled at World of Concrete 2018, the HV507 and set back axle HV607 are sized at 107-in. bumper-to-back-of-cab, powered by Cummins L9 or B6.7 engines, and serve as vocational market companions to the regional or long-haul HV513 and HV613 International introduced at the 2017 North American Commercial Vehicle Show.
