The newly formed ACI Committee 564, 3-D Printing with Cementitious Materials will report on three-dimensional printing and additive manufacturing with inorganic cementitious materials, and develop publications on the technology’s applications, challenges and impacts.

ACI opens 45-day 318-14 public review, adds social media twist

In accordance with its standardization procedure, ACI has opened public discussion for the completely reorganized ACI 318-14, “Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete and Commentary,” with comments on the document relayed through an official submittal form by June 17.

American Concrete Institute has completely overhauled and redesigned its website, www.concrete.org. Based on feedback from members and customers, the site features more intuitive navigation than its predecessor, new tools and “Topics in Concrete” sections, plus capability to translate content through a built-in translator. The site will maintain existing committee functionality with an easier-to use interface, and automatically reformat to display on mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.
