The Concrete Masonry Checkoff has launched a free-to-access, dynamic educational platform dedicated to equipping design professionals with the resources needed to deliver resilient, sustainable, high-performance buildings. The Block Learning Hub is accessible at www.beautyofblock.com/learn and premiers with Core Performance, Embodied Carbon Resiliency Series offerings. They span a variety of architecture and engineering courses on structural masonry, aesthetic and functional applications, plus technical detailing and best practices. New courses will be continually added, building series content to foster expertise and ensure a unique educational experience. BLH offers architects and engineers the ability to earn AIA and PDH continuing education credits.

“Concrete masonry plays a critical role in structural integrity, energy efficiency and material resilience, yet navigating its full potential in architectural design requires specialized knowledge,” says CMC CEO Kim Spahn. “The Block Learning Hub is unique in that its focus is on building with concrete masonry— core performance, structural specifications and the inherent resiliency you achieve when building with concrete block.”

“With on-demand courses, expert-led webinars and an expansive reference library, the Block Learning Hub offers educational content designed in collaboration with national and regional associations,” adds CMC National Design Director Riley Dvorak. “It will also facilitate peer collaboration and industry networking for architects, engineers and masonry professionals.”
