Lou Parous

The Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute Executive Committee and Board of Directors have appointed Lou Parous as president and chief executive officer. He will oversee executive and strategic operations as well as steward the century-old group’s future growth and influence across the concrete construction business. Parous arrives with 30-plus years in international business plus metals, engineering and large-scale construction technical roles.

“Lou’s leadership skills, familiarity with industry and markets, and coming from a CRSI member organization that is involved in the Institute’s strategic goals were key in the selection process,” says CRSI Chairman Brad Cottrell (Commercial Metals). Along with fellow Institute officers, he credits Parous’ dedication to promoting, advocating, and producing long-term strategic value for members and capacity to further develop CRSI’s position as “an unchallenged technical authority in the steel reinforced concrete construction industry.”
