XBE, business management software platform developer for the heavy construction and bulk materials industry, has acquired PriceBee, an emerging provider of material pricing and quoting solutions. By integrating innovative pricing intelligence, quoting workflows, and planned ordering capabilities from PriceBee into its platform, XBE enhances an end-to-end offering to help construction materials producers optimize profitability.
Current and pending PriceBee technology offerings in North America and overseas markets assist users with:
- Pricing. Determining the right price based on market dynamics and internal cost structures.
- Quoting. Efficiently providing customer-friendly quotes that fully leverage pricing strategies, thereby accelerating sales cycles and improving customer satisfaction.
- Ordering. As part of XBE integration, the PriceBee platform will soon be expanded to seamlessly link the quote process to operations, then closing the loop to continually refine pricing strategies over time.
“Pricing is a critical piece of the profitability puzzle in construction materials,” says XBE Founder and CEO Sean Devine. “By adding material pricing and quoting to our operations management capabilities, we’ll double our customers’ ability to improve their bottom line. We’re thrilled to welcome the PriceBee team and look forward to introducing ordering and continuous feedback loops that strengthen pricing strategies over time.”
“Joining forces with XBE allows us to bring our passion for smart pricing and quoting to a broader, more integrated solution,” adds PriceBee Co-Founder and Rock Products Pricing columnist Barry Hudson. “Together, we will empower material providers to streamline their entire process—from setting the right price, to providing fast, accurate quotes, all the way through to fulfilling orders—unlocking greater profitability and efficiency at every step.”
XBE programmers address complex challenges by unifying materials, logistics, equipment, and construction operations in one integrated platform. In addition to business management offerings, they have recently worked with the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association to launch Ask Concrete, powered by an artificial intelligence large language model. With underlying ChatGPT functionality, Ask Concrete fields inquiries on broad range of concrete production and practice matters.
