Concrete Supply Co. has expanded its ready mixed production footprint from 90 to 120 North Carolina and South Carolina locations through an Argos USA asset transaction. The deal appears to be the first of its kind since Quikrete Holdings Inc., Atlanta, closed on Denver-based Summit Materials Inc. earlier this month. Summit Materials inherited Argos USA cement and concrete businesses in a Q1 2024 cash and stock exchange with Colombia parent Cementos Argos.

The asset package brings Concrete Supply additional presence in key markets, including its home base of Charlotte as well as Raleigh, N.C., plus Charleston and Columbia, S.C. “The acquisition strengthens our ability to provide exceptional service and meet the growing demand for ready-mix concrete, all while maintaining our commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence,” the producer tells its Linkedin followers. “This strategic move marks a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to enhance our service capabilities and deliver the highest standards to our customers.”
