Space, ergonomic features define new Oshkosh trainer cab

The new S-Series Trainer Cab interior is 44 percent more spacious than previous iterations and offers significant leg room plus a dedicated air ride trainer seat for added comfort.

Oshkosh S-Series engineers have designed the new Trainer Cab for the company’s flagship front discharge mixer to meet ready mixed concrete producers’ evolving training needs. It affords a comfortable, versatile and effective training solution by providing a second seat for an experienced operator to accompany a new driver. A successor to a legacy cab that debuted in 1999, the S-Series Trainer Cab has been completely re-engineered to exceed expectations for a spacious and ergonomic environment that stands up to rigorous operational needs and offers improved visibility, plus easy ingress and egress.

“Like many industries, construction businesses have faced a significant skilled labor shortage and our customers need a training solution that is effective, comfortable and versatile enough to support both new drivers and experienced trainers,” says Oshkosh S-Series General Manager Sara Fedderly. “Our customers have been clear. They need a cab that not only gets the job done but also supports driver development and retention. The new Trainer Cab does just that, helping them navigate the skilled labor shortage while building a confident and capable team.”

With features such as multiple camera views, enhanced HVAC for optimal comfort and signature build quality, the Trainer Cab sets the standard for training in high-demand environments, she adds. Cab integration with the Oshkosh ClearSky Intelligence platform offers real-time insights and diagnostics, streamlining fleet management and maximizing training overall. — Oshkosh Corp., Oshkosh S-Series Business, Wisconsin, www.oshkoshsseries.com
