S.T. Wooten Corp. has strengthened its position in North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park market, acquiring Capital Ready Mix Concrete. The transaction includes four batch plants at Pittsboro headquarters and Knightdale satellite locations, respectively covering work west and east of Raleigh, state capital.

“The addition of Capital’s plants and employees will allow S.T. Wooten to further serve customers in growing markets like Chatham County and eastern Wake County,” says S.T. Wooten CEO Christopher T. Wooten.

The Pittsboro and Knightdale locations “join perfectly with S.T. Wooten’s current network of 16 ready mix plants,” adds Vice President of Ready Mix Gary Hodges. “As the Triangle area continues to grow, these additional locations, trucks and drivers will greatly benefit customers. We’re not only expanding our capacity but increasing efficiency by reducing the time between load deliveries to the job site.”
