Command Alkon has acquired Quebec-based Marcotte Systems, noting how the combined companies’ expertise and talents will propel heavy building materials plant automation and production optimization, plus cloud applications and artificial intelligence developments for concrete, aggregate, asphalt, cement, bulk hauling and construction interests.

“This acquisition underscores our commitment to accelerating innovation and customer service excellence,” says Command Alkon CEO Martin Willoughby. “By integrating Marcotte’s advanced plant automation solutions with our Command Cloud platform, we are poised to deliver unprecedented value to customers.”

“The synergy between Command Alkon and Marcotte Systems opens exciting new possibilities,” adds Chief Product Officer Ranjeev Teelock. “By combining Marcotte’s product portfolio and deep industry expertise with Command Alkon’s unified Cloud platform, we will continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible with artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and cloud technologies. Together we can greatly enhance our customers’ operational capabilities and support their sustainability goals.” Command Cloud’s application programming interface-first approach, he notes, brings “unprecedented openness to the industry’s technology ecosystem. Our strategy ensures that customers have the flexibility they need to optimize their business systems, processes, and operations. This alignment with Marcotte’s leadership will only strengthen our collective ability to deliver superior solutions.”

“Joining forces with Command Alkon marks a significant milestone, not only for our company, but for the heavy building materials industry as a whole as it will drive the next generation of fully automated plant solutions,” affirms Marcotte Systems CEO Joel Bardier, who along with colleagues is now part of the Command Alkon team. “With a steadfast commitment to transparency, respect, and humility, we are poised to navigate this integration process and together provide a higher level of service with the success of our customers as the guiding factor.”

The transaction dovetails two years of major deliverables from both parties. Command Cloud expansion has netted the Dispatch solution, concurrent with investments in support experience technology systems, product adoption teams and processes, plus training and badging programs. Marcotte Systems has advanced plant automation offerings through its namesake Batch platform and last year’s launch of the AI-driven MIntelligent product—both recognized as “invaluable additions to the Command Alkon family.”
