ConExpo-Con/Agg management affirms record space threshold

ConExpo-Con/Agg 2023, March 14-18, is set to be the largest edition in the event’s 27-year history, owing to organizer Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ sale of remaining Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) exhibit area. At 2.8 million square feet, the event will encompass 5 percent more space than 2020, which set a new watermark for equipment, product, material and service provider booths and displays. Another metric that bodes well for ConExpo-Con/Agg 2023, attendee registration, is outpacing rates for the 2020 show.

Organizers see this year’s ConExpo-Con/Agg building on the 2020 edition’s productive outcomes.

“The addition of the new West Hall and Diamond Lot at the Las Vegas Convention Center gave us, and our exhibitors, a number of new opportunities to show how we are taking the construction industry to the next level,” says ConExpo-Con/Agg Director Dana Wuesthoff. “There’s more for construction pros to see than ever before.”

Despite the expanded footprint, she adds, recent LVCC additions will make navigating ConExpo-Con/Agg 2023 easier than prior editions. Beneath the entire venue runs the Convention Center Loop, a transportation system designed by Elon Musk’s Boring Co. that whisks (< 2 minutes) convention attendees, free of charge, in Tesla vehicles throughout the campus.

“This is the event that construction professionals, especially those making company-level decisions, and those needing professional development hours, can’t miss,” contends Show Chair and Caterpillar Senior Vice President Phil Kelliher. “Seeing the new equipment and techniques on a screen doesn’t compare to seeing it all in person. At the show, you can ask questions of the manufacturers themselves and really understand what the equipment and education can do for your career and business.”
