The CIM National Steering Committee has a customary December dispatch: Mack Trucks and McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing will once again deliver a Granite-mounted Bridgemaster mixer for an annual auction staged during World of Concrete and benefitting undergraduate Middle Tennessee State University, California State University, Chico, New Jersey Institute of Technology, South Dakota State University and Texas State University Concrete Industry Management degree programs. A Granite GRFR model running a Mack MP7 engine rated at 395 hp and 1,550 lb. ft. torque, the truck will be among signature items in the 2023 CIM Auction, with bidding scheduled 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., January 18 in the Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall Room N262.

The 2023 Mack-McNeilus package bears specs similar to the manufacturers’ 2022 CIM Auction donation, shown here in its traditional Las Vegas Convention Center perch, and includes the body builder’s FLEX Controls operating system and 11-yd. M80 Series Drum with 46-in. paver opening.

“McNeilus is proud to provide continued support to the CIM program through this annual donation,” says McNeilus Mixers and London Machinery General Manager Scott Mattmiller. “This program is critical in developing future leaders of our industry by educating them on concrete technologies and other skills for a well-rounded education. McNeilus is committed to helping move the industry forward and we know the funds raised will help drive that innovation and advancement.”

“Like our products, the concrete industry is becoming more technologically advanced and complex,” adds Mack Trucks Construction Product Manager Tim Wrinkle. “We are honored to have a part in preparing the next generation of leaders for a rapidly changing future.”
