Second ACI Resource Center opens on O’Hare International periphery

The American Concrete Institute’s new Resource Center – Chicago/Midwest will help meet the region’s increased demand for knowledge through hands-on training, educational offerings, and on-demand ACI Certification Program access. The facility is the second of its kind, following a charter Resource Center opened two years ago in southern California. Both offer a diverse array of custom training programs designed to communicate required skills and demonstrate test methods in order to achieve certification. In addition to custom training programs, the Chicago/Midwest Resource Center offers programs on popular industry topics such as design, fundamentals, repair and slabs.

“The newest Resource Center is strategically located to expand access to ACI knowledge in a large market of the concrete construction industry,” says ACI Executive Vice President Ronald Burg, PE. “We’re eager to bring regularly scheduled and on-demand certification programs, educational seminars, and hands-on training to the region.”

Initial certification events have included Concrete Field-Testing Technician; Concrete Strength Testing Technician; Adhesive Anchor Installer; Post Installed Concrete Anchor Installation Inspector; Masonry Laboratory Testing Technician; and, Masonry Field-Testing Technician. Information on upcoming classes, certification programs and events can be obtained from Midwest Resource Center staff, 248/516-1112, or [email protected].
