The RMC Foundation’s Guide to Concrete Overlays of Asphalt Parking Lots, Second Edition builds on the original document with more project case studies, new information on the use of microfibers and laser screed technologies, plus updated reference documentation and a simplified approach to identifying the best overlay candidates. The National Concrete Pavement Technology Center at Iowa State University prepared both editions, enlisting a Technical Advisory Committee for each.
“The Guide to Concrete Overlays of Asphalt Parking Lots has been an important educational resource for the industry. The step-by-step guide helps designers and owners understand how to implement overlays for a sustainable, durable and economical parking area. Keeping this guide current with the latest technology and advancements was an easy decision,” says Foundation Chairman Rodney Grogan (Dunn Investment Co./MMC Materials).
The digital version of Concrete Overlays, Second Edition is posted for free download here. Print versions will be available from the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association e-store. Those wishing to purchase copies at an initial bulk rate can contact NRMCA’s Jon Hansen, [email protected] by Friday, June 17th.
