Geneva Pipe lays groundwork for Perfect Pipe, Lined Manhole technology

Utah-based Geneva Pipe and Precast has begun producing and distributing reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) and precast manhole systems finished with a corrosion resistant lining new to North America. Perfect Pipe and Perfect Lined Manhole have the potential to revolutionize municipal wastewater management, the producer notes, as they offer 100-plus years’ service life in most sanitary sewer environments.

Perfect Pipe RCP has an integrated high density polyethylene liner, wet-cast in the wall to form a corrosion-proof barrier, and suits direct bury, trenchless, high loading or high ground water applications. The Perfect Lined Manhole System integrates a monolithic base and fiber reinforced plastic liner with HDPE protected riser sections and lid. The one-pour base eliminates cold joints and connects to nearly any concrete, clay, plastic or fiberglass sewer pipe. Perfect systems’ anchored liners provide 100 percent coverage and create a smooth laminar flow with a tight seal. Joints require no field welds in most sizes and can connect to most new or existing systems.

“Using technology developed in Europe, we are now manufacturing Perfect Pipe and Perfect Lined Manhole Systems at our Geneva plant. The Perfect System truly provides superior performance and longevity over other sanitary sewer options,” says Scott Montross, chief executive of Geneva Pipe’s Vancouver, Wash.-based parent, Northwest Pipe Co. “We look forward to working with regional engineers and municipalities as we demonstrate how the Perfect System offers a completely leak-proof and low maintenance sewer management solution.”
