NRMCA will present “Pathways to Net-Zero Buildings,” an online conference running 11 a.m.-1 p.m. EST, January 28-29. The event will bring together leading experts both from staff and the industry to discuss a key component of concrete sustainability.
Day 1 falls under the “Embodied Pathways” heading and will begin with an address by Jeremy Gregory, executive director of the Concrete Sustainability Hub and MIT Civil and Environmental Engineering research scientist. “Material Innovations” and “Specifications” presentations will follow from NRMCA Executive Vice President of Structures and Sustainability Lionel Lemay and Executive Vice President of Engineering Colin Lobo.
Day 2 will focus on “Energy Pathways,” with multifamily project case studies by Mark Ginsberg, a principal at Curtis+Ginsberg, and Lois Arena, director, Passive House Services, Steven Winter Associates. “Case Studies in Net Zero” will feature Phil Donovan, technical principal, Little Diversified, and Tracy Steward, principal, CMTA. NRMCA Executive Vice President of Promotion Strategy and Communications Gregg Lewis will conclude the conference with a question and answer session.
