BMH Systems tailors batch plants for ready mixed and manufactured concrete, plus bagging operations, often incorporating the RollMaster reversing drum mixer.

Astec Industries has acquired Montreal-based BMH Systems, Inc., a concrete plant equipment manufacturer best known for the RollMaster reversing mixer drum. BMH product integration, Astec officials note, provides a comprehensive concrete plant offering in North America, enhances engineering expertise, creates cost synergy opportunities, and delivers a strong platform for Canadian market development.

The deal occured days after Astec closed on Nebraska-based Concrete Equipment Co. The two batch plant manufacturers reported 2019 sales upward of $50 million combined, and will be part of the Astec Infrastructure Solutions business segment. “The addition of these highly regarded brands, along with our existing RexCon brand will significantly strengthen our ability to serve customers’ needs—Rock to Road,” says CEO Barry Ruffalo. “By bringing these lines together, our global customers will have access to the most robust line of concrete products in the infrastructure industry. Both organizations are an excellent cultural fit with Astec, as they are customer focused, innovative and performance-oriented.”
