Concurrent with relocation of their Washington, D.C. area staff to neighboring office suites in northern Virginia, NRMCA and Portland Cement Association have appointed Debra Adlis to the respective roles of executive vice president of Finance and chief financial officer. She arrives as the groups’ top shared-staff member after 20-plus years in CFO roles for the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and a handful of other non-profit organizations.
Separately, NRMCA has added three industry veterans, each schooled in insulating concrete form construction practice, to the team behind the Build With Strength campaign: An architect by education, Knoxville, Tenn.-based Frank Gordon will be responsible for the Mid-Atlantic Region. He brings extensive ICF design and building background, plus perspective from Tennessee Valley Authority and Oak Ridge National Laboratory tours of duty. After a multi-year assignment with St. Marys Cement, Doug O’Neill rejoins NRMCA with Northeast Region responsibilities. Based in Lockport, N.Y., he was part of the Paving promotion team for 10 years, and had joined NRMCA after serving as New York Construction Materials Association executive director. Rounding out the Build With Strength appointments is Donn Thompson, who was responsible for technical promotion of ICF during an extended PCA tenure, and will cover the Midwest Region from his Kenosha, Wis., base.
“Frank, Doug and Donn are proven relationship builders who are passionate about communicating concrete’s ability to provide sustainable solutions,” says NRMCA President Michael Philipps. “We are fortunate that they’ve agreed to come on board to help continue the success stories already compiled under the Build With Strength campaign.”
