To recognize the recently proclaimed Concrete Industry Day, American Concrete Pavement Association-Colorado/Wyoming Chapter, American Concrete Pipe Association and Colorado Ready Mixed Concrete Association members will host legislators and staff for a BBQ picnic lunch on the Colorado State Capitol grounds in downtown Denver.
“The State of Colorado recognizes the concrete industry as important to furthering development in our state and appreciates the hard work, dedication, and the efficiency of its employees,” notes Governor Jared Polis in a proclamation of Concrete Industry Day, April 23.
“Concrete is a part of so many things we build,” he adds in a statement on the planned Capitol gathering. “The concrete industry is an important contributor to Colorado’s infrastructure, economy, and future. We look forward to celebrating Concrete Day at the Capitol and recognizing the thousands of employees that are making a difference in our state.”
Governor Polis will attend the event and address attendees. In addition to government outreach, the associations are hosting the picnic to raise awareness of the importance of the concrete industry to Colorado’s economic growth and sustainable development practices.
