The National Steering Committee for the Concrete Industry Management program cites $1.2 million in gross revenue for its 12th annual auction, staged during World of Concrete 2019 in Las Vegas. “[It’s] our best ever … a tremendous success, both in terms of the value of donated items and number of attendees,” says CIM Auction Committee Chairman Mike Philipps (Sandler Training).

The event featured twin centerpieces: Mack Granite-mounted Beck Industrial bridge formula mixer and Kenworth T880S-mounted Con-Tech Manufacturing BridgeKing mixer. Live and silent bidding spanned concrete fleet, plant and construction equipment or tools, plus computers and technology devices and leisure, sports or vacation event or travel packages.

CIM Marketing Committee Chairman Brian Gallagher credits Informa Exhibitions and Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers for their support of the auction, along with all companies—led by Beck, Con-Tech, Kenworth Truck, Kenworth of Central Florida, Mack Trucks and Somero Enterprises—that donated iron, products and materials. The CIM National Steering Committee once again teamed with GiveSmart, a provider of bidding technology services that ease participant registration and remote, silent or live bidding (advance and on-site).
