Mixer truck technician training program debuts

McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing, Inc. has launched a program to train service technicians in concrete mixer maintenance. “A mixer truck mechanic is a valuable asset to a customer’s organization and the industry as well,” says Vice President and General Manager, Customer Support Solutions Jim McReynolds. “That’s why we want to do our part to increase both the quantity and quality of the mechanics working in the industry. These training courses are designed to teach technicians what they need to know to keep their fleets in top condition, increasing efficiency and improving their company’s bottom line.”

With classroom and hands-on sessions surrounding the manufacturer’s Bridgemaster and standard mixer models, the full-day program covers safety, electrical components, hydraulics, drum, pneumatics, chute and control systems, plus the new FLEX Controls package. Training dates and locations will be scheduled based on interest and demand. Classes will be held each month at different locations around the U.S., beginning in Salisbury, N.C. The company will accept training candidates from any customer who has service technicians working on McNeilus equipment. Oshkosh S-Series Front Discharge mixer offerings, backed by McNeilus, will continue through the Oshkosh Product Training Center. — McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing Inc., Dodge Center, Minn., 507/374-6321; www.mcneilusco.com
