Ontario-based truck component manufacturer Nu-Line Products recently introduced the Away Wash series devices for ready mixed concrete producers. The newest offering, the 11.9-gal. MKII, is a smaller version of a namesake, 14.5-gal. model. Both are of polyethylene construction and mount at the rear of mixer trucks; their removable sieves capture coarse materials, and their hoses drain by gravity into plant settling ponds. The MKII and Away Wash design allows truck chutes to be washed down anywhere, and equip ready mixed producers with a critical pollution control tool.

Miami-based pest and pollution control specialist Diligent Services recently added SWPPP Compliant Concrete Washout Solutions to its offerings, thus far dispatching rolloff vessels to such high profile projects as the Hard Rock Hotel (shown here), Cleveland Clinic in Weston, and Port of Miami Cruise Terminal. Diligent Concrete Washout follows Environmental Protection Agency best management practices with watertight containers and pans. In addition to EPA, Diligent Services cites certification or practices consistent with NPDES and SWPPP, plus the LEED certification candidate projects. All washout material removed from jobsites is completely recycled.
