Sioux fires up new aggregate bin heater

The Aggre-Flo builds on the Sioux Corp. steam generating and curing equipment portfolio for concrete production, delivering what company officials note is a promise of simple, reliable operation.

With three models of 500,000 Btu/hour to 2,000,000 Btu/hour heat output, the Aggre-Flo aggregate bin heater uses forced air to eliminate ice and frozen chunks in coarse and fine aggregates. The equipment raises the entire aggregate bin to a target temperature with dry heat, which does not introduce excess moisture into sand, gravel or stone. As with all Sioux equipment, the Aggre-Flo is engineered to last decades in the rugged environment of concrete production.

“Sioux takes pride in engineering new, innovative equipment to meet customers’ specific needs,” notes Director of Engineering Mark Wegner. “The new Aggre-Flo heater allows concrete producers to make consistent batches of concrete efficiently during the winter months.” — Sioux Corp., Beresford, S.D., 888/763-8833 or 605/763-3333; www.sioux.com
