Chaney Enterprises brands new supplies, services business

Maryland-based ready mixed and aggregates producer Chaney Enterprises has merged its legacy Concrete Store and recently acquired Dunkirk Supply businesses to form BuilderUp. In addition to concrete staples and hardscape units, materials and services available at the new entity include custom truss manufacturing and steel fabrication (I beams, columns, wrought iron rails, custom welding), crane services, engineered wood products, doors, windows, lumber, plus general tools and supplies for professional builders of all sizes.

BuilderUp operates from three southern Maryland locations, one in Dunkirk, two in Owings. Chaney Enterprises Marketing Manager Steven Tripp has been named Chief Builder of the new supplies and services business, overseeing merger, launch and day-to-day operations. A 10-year employee of Chaney, he is tasked with advancing the building industry by modernizing the brand, equipment and processes with a focus on the customer. “We could not imagine a more ideal way to bring these two leading suppliers together than to create BuilderUp,” he notes. “My first six months has been busy, laying the groundwork of a new company and working out the details of the merger. The expansion brings two different but trusted construction suppliers together and promises great news to present and future customers. With a hyper focus on a mission to make life easier for our customers, we have new product lines, services and methods of helping them that we’ll be announcing throughout the year.”
