PCA Chief Operating Officer Michael Ireland has been named chief executive officer and director. He has served as interim CEO since the late-August departure of his predecessor, James Toscas, and takes the helm after arriving at the association in January.

“I am pleased to be working with Mike as the association navigates challenges, opportunities and changes facing our industry in the years ahead,” says PCA Chairman and CalPortland Co. President and CEO Allen Hamblen.

“It is my honor to serve America’s cement manufacturers during such an exciting time for the industry,” adds Ireland. “Cement and concrete will continue to play an important role in building infrastructure, enhancing the resilience and sustainability of buildings, and supporting the overall quality of life for Americans.”

Joining Ireland as newly elected PCA directors are Capitol Aggregates’ Greg Hale; CalPortland’s Steve Regis, Bruce Shafer and Mark Wagy; and, Drake Cement’s Enrique Rozas.
